Come and join us for a morning of late 2000s nostalgia with a free showing of Nirvanna: The Band - the Show - the Movie at the Lindsay Branch or the Kawartha Public Library! This event is held in partnership with the National Canadian Film Day and is one of thousands of screenings happening country-wide to celebrate Canadian Film on April 15th.
Together we will be watching the side-splittingly hilarious movie, Nirvanna: The Band - the Show - the Movie, created by and starring Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol. Fresh from it's 2025 Midnight Madness People's Choice win, NTBTSTM is a loveletter to the city of Toronto, a true feat of Canadian independent filmmaking, and, above all else, a celebration of friendship. Come and be a part of the world's largest single day film festival!
Light refreshments will be included and are TBD, please check back for details.
Post-show, all attendees are welcome to stick around for some conversation and, in true 2000s fashion, indulge your creative side by with some friendship bracelet making! Many thanks to the generous supply donors who helped make this happen. This event welcomes all ages. Please note that the movie is rated PG.
