Survival rates for those with ovarian cancer have not improved in 50 years? Ovarian cancer is the most fatal women’s cancer in Canada, and approximately 3,000 Canadians receive a diagnosis of ovarian cancer each year. The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope takes place on September 27, 2026 in more than 37 locations nation wide. This funding has led to significant advancements in research, improved patient care, and increased awareness. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with or at high risk of ovarian cancer by having a positive impact on disease prevention, early diagnosis and access to treatments. It is a day filled with hope, solidarity and community spirit.A committee of volunteers organize the very best event possible in partnership with local businesses. Their efforts ensure costs are minimized and participation is high. A family-friendly event, the Walk offers participants their choice of a 2.5 km or 5 km route. (rain or shine) You can walk, run, bike etc as an individual, with friends or part of a team. This family friendly event will have music, games, refreshments and prizes for top fundraisers. Anyone who raises over $250 will receive a specially designed t-shirt. Start a team to share your inspiration and Walk together. If you are living with ovarian cancer or if you are a survivor, we would be honoured to recognize you on Walk day with a special edition Teal Sisters t-shirt.
